Some gyms forbid hogging machines or wearing flip flops. At one gym, grunting is grounds for expulsion. Albert Argibay was escorted by police officers from a gym this week for grunting─which is against Planet Fitness' rules for maintaining a nonintimidating atmosphere.

有些健身房禁止會員霸佔健身器材或穿夾腳拖鞋。在其中一間健身房，健身時發出吼叫聲則是可被驅逐出場的理由。阿吉貝本週就因此在警察護送下離開健身房，因為他違反了「健身星球」健身房的規定，這項規定是為了維持健身房內的友善氣氛。

"Perhaps I grunted, perhaps I didn't. It's open to interpretation," said Argibay. He said he had his headset on when he was lifting 500 pounds on a squat machine at the gym.

「也許我有吼叫，也許沒有。這還有解釋空間，」阿吉貝說。他說，他在健身房裡一台蹲舉訓練機前，練習舉起500磅的重量時，頭上戴著耳機。

Planet Fitness markets itself as a place where anyone can feel comfortable in its "Judgment Free Zone." Its rules state members cannot wear bandanas, grunt or bang weights on the ground.

Most clubs have policies regarding proper gym manners, although expulsions are rare. Grunting might be more taboo in gyms like Planet Fitness, which cater to exercise novices.

多數的健身俱樂部都訂有關於健身房適當禮儀的政策，不過嚴重到開除會員會籍倒很少見。在類似健身星球的健身房裡，低吼恐怕更會成為禁忌，因為這類健身房是以新手為主要客源。

The heaviest dumb bells at Planet Fitness are 80 pounds, meaning it's a place geared toward the general public.

健身星球最重的啞鈴只有80磅重，表示這裡比較適合一般大眾前來健身。

carry weight（後常接with）：指對…極有影響力，carry no weight則指沒有影響力，如︰Her opinion carries a lot of weight with the boss.（老闆極重視她的意見。）標題中的carry no weight也是暗指文中提及舉重的雙關語。

hog：原指大型肉豬，亦可指貪婪自私的人，文中則作動詞，指貪心地攫取、霸佔等，如︰The guy hogged the whole park bench.（那個人佔住一整張公園長椅。）

expulsion：指驅逐、開除（常接from/of），如︰We soon heard of his expulsion from college.（我們很快就聽說他被大學開除的消息。）
