Some British police officers will be given the power to arrest hooligans at this summer's World Cup in Germany, the British Home Office revealed.

英國內政部透露，部分英國警官將獲授權，在今夏德國舉行的世界盃中逮捕足球流氓。

A total of 79 officers - 44 in uniform- will travel to the tournament, which runs June 9 to July 9, and 29 of those will have powers of arrest just like their German counterparts.

共有79位警官，其中44位是制服警察，將前往這個從6月9日舉行到7月9日的競賽，當中29位將如同德國警察握有拘捕權。

Four German police officers will also be deployed in the United Kingdom to help in the preparations to prevent more than 3,000 known troublemakers from travelling to Germany.

4位德國警官也將派駐英國，協助進行預防措施，以防止逾3,000 名已知的麻煩人物進入德國。

Home Secretary Charles Clarke also called on England fans to respect German laws,including the one which bans Nazi salutes."The reason why the German parliament brought in these laws was because the era we're talking about was one of total horror," he said. "It's not a joke, it's not a comic thing to do, it is deeply insulting and wrong. Anyone that's thinking it might be entertaining to get involved in this kind of thing, I would urge them not to do so."

內政大臣查爾斯．克拉克也呼籲英國球迷遵守德國法律，包括禁止行納粹敬禮。「德國國會之所以制定這些法律，乃是因為我們談及的那個年代是極其恐怖的年代，」他說。「這不是玩笑，不是好笑的事，這是深沉的侮辱與錯誤，任何認為參與這種事會很有趣的人，我奉勸他們不要這麼做。」
