The governor of an eastern German state condemned the burning of a copy of Anne Frank、s diary by three suspected members of a far-right group.

德東某州州長對一本「安妮日記」遭3名疑似極右派團體成員燒毀事件，表達譴責。

Prosecutors are investigating the three men, ages 24, 27 and 28, for incitement after they burned the book and a U.S. flag at a party in the town of Pretzien, near Magdeburg, on June 24.

他們6月24日在馬德堡附近普瑞齊恩鎮的一場聚會，焚燒該書與一面美國國旗後，檢方即以煽動為由，對年齡分別為24、27與28歲的3人展開調查。

"This is highly shameful for all of us," said Wolfgang Boehmer, the governor of Saxony-Anhalt state. The director of Berlin、s Anne Frank Center, Thomas Heppener, said he had gone to the town to look into the incident. "I thank the many people in Pretzien who have clearly distanced themselves from the incident," he said.

Anne Frank wrote her famous diary while she and her German-Jewish family hid in an Amsterdam attic for 25 months.

They eventually were betrayed to the Nazis, and Anne died at age 15 of typhus at Bergen-Belsen, Germany in 1945, just weeks before the British army liberated the concentration camp.
