No more free talk time after midnight for Bangladeshi youths.It's a matter of protecting moral values, as a government commission has ordered the country's mobile phone companies to stop providing free talk time because it is "spoiling'' the younger generation.

孟加拉年輕人在午夜過後，不再享有免費聊天時段。為保護道德價值，一個政府委員會已下令該國的手機公司停止提供免費聊天時段，因為這會「寵壞」年輕的一代。

The mobile phone companies in Bangladesh confirm receiving the order from the Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission, or BTRC. The order, which sets no clear deadline for stopping the service, was issued after parents filed complaints with the commission, a top commission official said.

孟加拉手機公司證實從孟加拉電信管制委員會（BTRC）收到這項命令。這項沒有設定明確停用該服務時限的命令，是在家長們向該委員會提出訴願後發佈，一名委員會高級官員說。

"It's all about moral values. The youths are being spoiled, it's changing their lifestyle,'' the official said. He said the free call service is disrupting studies and promoting "unnecessary'' and "often vulgar'' chatting between young people.

「這完全是道德價值的問題。年輕人被寵壞了，這正改變他們的生活方式，」這名官員說。他說，免費通話的服務干擾了唸書，並促成年輕人之間的聊天內容「言不及義」，「時而粗俗下流」。

Three of Bangladesh's five mobile phone firms offer the free calls between midnight and 6 a.m. to mainly young customers.

孟加拉5家手機業者中，有3家提供午夜至上午6時之間免費通話時段，對象主要是年輕的顧客。
