A Swedish supreme court judge who admitted to paying a male high school student for sexual favours will escape a court hearing but will instead be fined 44,250 kronor (5,800 dollars), the country's Chief Prosecutor Guntra Ahlund said.
瑞典最高法院的一名法官,坦承花錢狎玩一名男高中生,雖然他逃過了法院的公聽會,但還是要罰款四萬四千二百五十克朗(五千八百美元),該國檢察總長岡特拉.艾朗德說。
An announcement is expected next week as to whether Leif Thorsson, 59, will be able to remain on the supreme court. He has held his court seat since 1994.

The judge will not be tried as Thorsson admitted to contacting a 20-year-old male student and paying for sexual favours from him on one occasion.

The 20-year-old student was sentenced in March for robbing a client. During their investigation, police found several phone numbers in the young man's mobile telephone, including Thorsson's.
這名二十歲的學生在三月間因為搶劫一名顧客被判刑。警方在調查期間,發現這名年輕男子的手機上有好幾個電話號碼,包括梭森的號碼。
Investigators also found text messages sent by the judge.
