A British security firm boss admitted in court that he had killed his daughter only weeks after he walked her down the aisle at her wedding.

Terence Rodgers pleaded not guilty to the murder of 23-year-old hairdresser Chanel Taylor in her Nottinghamshire home in July last year, but guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

walk her down the aisle：字面意義為「陪她走過通道」，其實就是嫁女兒。walk，動詞，陪著走；aisle，名詞，狹長走道。西方教堂婚禮通常由父親或女方男性長輩挽著新娘走過教堂兩側座椅中間的狹長走道，把新娘送至站在聖壇前方的新郎。稍後的gives his daughter away，字面意義為「把他的女兒送走」，也是嫁女兒的意思。
